Lake Charles man charged with sexual battery of juvenile under 13

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) -- A man was arrested in Calcasieu Parish after admitting to having sexual contact with a family member under the age of 13 for years.
Officials arrested 36-year-old Justin Marchie on March 30 after investigating alleged sexual abuse complaints from a disclosed family member.
Officials said during the investigation they were advised by a girl under the age of 13 that Marchie was sexually abusing her.
When they spoke with Marchie, officials said he confirmed that he had been having inappropriate, sexual contact with the girl, starting in 2023 until the present.
Marchie was sent to a Calcasieu Parish jail and charged with sexual battery of a juvenile under the age of 13.
His bond was set at $1.5 million.
