Albany man accused of having child sex abuse images

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A 27-year-old Albany man was arrested Friday after an investigation into child sex abuse materials. According to state police, Angel Deleon faces multiple charges.

According to troopers, the investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Deleon was accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation when troopers executed a search warrant of his home on May 8.

He was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony and possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.

Deleon was arrested, the day after the search of his home. He was then arraigned at the Albany City Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash, $2,500 bond or a $5,000 partially secured bond.
