5/12/2025: Warm & sunny start to the work week

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

High pressure is in control to kick off the work week, which will bring us sunshine and generally quiet conditions for Monday.

With light winds out of the south or southwest, we expect to warm quickly. Highs will be in the upper 70's for the valleys. Even the high terrain will warm into the mid 70's.

Tonight looks far more mild with a few clouds developing. Instead of 30's and 40's like we had this morning, most fall only into the low or mid 50's.

We'll turn mostly cloudy by tomorrow afternoon, with a few showers moving into the Catskills, Mohawk Valley, and Mid-Hudson Valley by the mid to late afternoon. Still, temperatures will be warm for most, in the mid 70's.

Low 70's with more widespread showers on Wednesday. Back to the upper 70's on Thursday with only scattered, pop up showers.

A taste of summer for the end of the week, with highs near 80, showers, and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is not as warm, but still seasonable with highs in the low 70's, lingering clouds, and a few spotty showers.
