Angelina Jolie to Appear at Cannes Film Festival 2025, Special Role Revealed!
Angelina Jolie will be attending the 2025 Cannes Film Festival!
The 49-year-old actress will be acting as Godmother of the Trophée Chopard and handing the trophy to Laetitia star Marie Colomb and Warfare actor Finn Bennett during a ceremony on Carlton Beach on May 16, via Variety.
The presentation will take place during a dinner co-hosted by Cannes Film Festival president Iris Knobloch, general delegate Thierry Frémaux and Chopard co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele.

“I am so happy to welcome Angelina Jolie as our Trophée Chopard Godmother,” said Caroline in a statement.
“Her amazing film career and dedication to making a difference in the world make her an ideal role model. I know the rising talents we honor this year will be inspired by her journey and advice.”
Angelina will next appear in Alice Winocour’s bilingual drama Couture, which she also produced. She also directed the upcoming Without Blood, based on the novel by Alessandro Baricco.

“I am pleased to have a moment to recognize young artists and their exceptional work.”
The Trophée Chopard was created in 2001, and celebrates emerging international cinema talent, each year honoring one actress and one actor with promising careers. Marion Cotillard, Florence Pugh, Jeremy Irvine and Joe Alwyn are among the previous recipients.
Previous Godmothers and Godfathers of the award include Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Robert De Niro and Sean Penn.
