It’s Monday And That Means It’s NBA Draft Lottery Time
AKA the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes
Today is May 12th, and that means NBA Lottery Day is here.
For Duke, jt’ll be big news no matter who wins or what happens. Cooper Flagg is nearly universally expected to be the #1 pick, Kon Knueppel is also generally seen as a Top Six pick while Khaman Maluach has gone from being seen as a late-first round pick to a possible Top Ten pick.
Things have just changed.
For any of Duke’s players in the draft, or really anyone at all, going early is nice but going to a stable franchise is more important.
In this draft, thqt means you should probably hope that these teams pick Flagg, Knueppel or Maluach:
- Utah
- San Antonio
- Houston
Second tier
- Portland
- Dallas
- Chicago
If they get drafted by Washington, Charlotte or Sacramento, hope for a trade.
If you plan to watch, the broadcast is at 7:00 PM on ESPN and, by the way, both Jared McCain (Philly) and Zion Williamson (New Orleans) wiill be representing their teams.
