David Beckham Includes Son in Mother's Day Post Amid Drama
Families around the country celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday, paying homage to the special women in their lives who helped them along the way. The holiday made its way to Hollywood, as several celebrities made social media posts to commemorate the holiday.
Soccer legend David Beckham was among those to post on Sunday to celebrate, and he made a notable decision on his Instagram story.
Beckham posted a photo of his wife Victoria holding a newborn Harper while surrounded by their three sons - Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.
“Happy Mother’s Day to the best mommy,” Beckham said in the post, noting that he specified the American version of the holiday. Mother's Day is celebrated in March in the United Kingdom, the Beckham's home country.
Beckham tagged all of his children in the post, including his oldest son Brooklyn. According to Page Six, reports alleged that David and Brooklyn were feuding due to family drama.
Brooklyn and Romeo were said to be upset with one another after Romeo began dating Kim Turnbull. The issue stemmed from Turnbull and Brooklyn's alleged romance from years prior.
Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz were not present at either of David's 50th birthday parties this year, seemingly out of protest for the new relationship.
TMZ reported earlier this month that David and Victoria may have also contributed to Brooklyn's decision to distance himself from the rest of the family.
The outlet says that David "verbally berates" his son on the phone, and that Peltz was upset with Victoria for sending texts as if her husband "didn’t just scream at Brooklyn for an hour."
TMZ also noted that Brooklyn and Peltz "have made themselves available for months and months to discuss all of the ongoing drama," but that David and Victoria don't engage with them because Peltz "always talks back to them and stands up for Brooklyn."
The drama is said to extend to social media posts, with one party allegedly refusing to post content shared by the others.
The alleged "feud" between family members may be dominating the headlines, but David Beckham's social media post seems to indicate that there's no issue within the family.
