Disney Restaurant PizzeRizzo Closing June 7
Those traveling to Disney World for two specific offerings will have just two more weeks to do so.
Earlier this week, All Ears, a site dedicated to Disney news, revealed the company will be closing seven different restaurants or attractions over the next year. Disney already announced the closing of its Melrose's Ristorante Italiano on May 10, but another beloved restaurant will be shuttering its doors just a month late.
All Ears and Disney Tourist Blog both revealed PizzeRizzo, along with MuppetVision 3D, will be closing on June 7.
"To make way for the monsters, the Grand Avenue area will begin a phase closing in May 2025. The last day to dine at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano was on May 10, 2025. Following that, Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo will close, with the last day to experience both locations on June 7, 2025," Disney Tourist Blog said.
While the restaurant and Muppets will be going away, Disney revealed what's next for the beloved characters.
"We know so many of you share our love for The Muppets and know their energy will be a perfect fit for this coaster. Plus, as the first Disney ride ever to feature The Muppets, there’s sure to be laughter, screams and new tunes for this attraction for fans to enjoy throughout the adventure and plenty of Muppets-themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard!" the company said in a statement.
"In the meantime, there’s still enough time to catch a super-stretch limo to the Forum to enjoy Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and catch a glorious three-hour finale with MuppetVision 3D again before their final curtain calls."
All Ears revealed Disney has announced seven recent closures over the past year and plans seven more in the near future - including PizzeRizzo and MuppetVision 3D.
