Minthis Resort to host five-day classical music festival this July
Over July 9-13, 2025, Minthis Resort in Paphos will transform into an open-air stage. Over the course of five evenings, the festival will see international classical music artists perform, including the Italian string quartet of La Scala Theatre, German violinist Niklas Liepe, British composer Rachel Portman, German cellist Raphaela Gromes, Italian tenor Massimo Giordano and Spanish guitarist Pablo Sáinz-Villegas.
The idea for the festival was born after the tremendous success of two exclusive classical music evenings held at Minthis Resort last year. Inspired by the audience’s response, Giordano — one of the most renowned vocalists of his generation — decided to create something bigger: a full-scale showcase of classical music, named Minthis Music Festival 2025, for which he is also serving as Artistic Director. Evangelia Eliadou, owner of Pafilia and Minthis Resort, took the lead in organising the event, with Minthis Resort becoming the birthplace of the new cultural offering. Pafilia reaffirmed its status as the flagship of Cyprus’ real estate market, offering paradise-level comfort and an “Olympian” lifestyle to all worthy of it.
The bold vision is being brought to life by Laimtee Art, a creative collective known for its large-scale productions and innovative concepts. Together — the art agency, Eliadou and Giordano — have set an unparalleled artistic standard for classical music festivals, blending refined cultural taste with the charm of a Mediterranean resort.
Five evenings of world-class performances
The festival will open with the legendary string quartet of La Scala Theatre — delivering powerful yet precise renditions of beloved classical pieces. Virtuoso performers and Sony Music stars Liepe and Gromes, possibly the finest guides through the emotional world of classical music, will grace the stage next. Then comes Portman, the first female composer to win an Oscar, whose music has enriched Hollywood films and will now resonate in the hills of Paphos.
Italian tenor Giordano, who has shone at La Scala and the Metropolitan Opera, will bring operatic passion and charisma to the stage, accompanied by the acclaimed pianist Nelson Calzi. Finally, Sáinz-Villegas, hailed as “the soul of the Spanish guitar” and an international sensation, will enchant the audience with his performance.
Each concert will be a unique story — filled with light, sound, and the magic of the moment. Minthis Music Festival 2025 will leave memories that you’ll want to revisit time and again.
Amidst picturesque hills, elegant architecture, and breathtaking nature, the music will resonate deeply, sincerely, and memorably.
Set in the paradise-like Minthis Resort in the wine region of Paphos, Cyprus, the festival will offer more than just performances — it will showcase an experience of absolute joy, carefully curated for true connoisseurs of music, luxury and lifestyle. With Giordano’s extensive international career and Laimtee Art’s proven expertise in artistic curation, the programme is designed to deliver unforgettable emotions and innovative musical experiences.
