McDonald’s Has Added New Happy Meal to Menu for June

McDonald's has officially launched a new Happy Meal toy that'll put a smile on every Disney fan's face.

Pixar Animation Studios has teamed up with McDonald's to create Happy Meal toys for "Elio," a sci-fi adventure film from Disney. The following characters from "Elio" received their own Happy Meal figure: Elio, Helix, Questa, Mira, Glordon, Girgon, Aquarii, and Alya.

According to a statement from McDonald's, each toy has a translucent base and a "pinch launcher" that makes them soar.

"Get ready to blast off into the Communiverse," McDonald's USA said in a statement. "The Elio Happy Meal lands June 10th, gather your friends to collect 8 Elio-themed toys." 

Happy Meal toys for "Elio" will replace SquishMallows. This promotion is set to last through June 30.

As for the actual film, "Elio" will officially hit theaters this Thursday. 

"For centuries, people have called out to the universe looking for answers--in Disney and Pixar's all-new feature film 'Elio,' the universe calls back," the movie's synopsis states. "The cosmic misadventure introduces Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession. So, when he's beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide, Elio's all in for the epic undertaking. Mistakenly identified as Earth's leader, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be."

We'll see if Disney fans collect all eight "Elio" toys in the coming weeks.
