Anne Burrell's Husband & Family Release Heartbreaking Statement
Food Network star Anne Burrell's husband and family have released a heartbreaking statement after her surprise death.
The well-known chef's family called Burrell, 55, a "beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend," in the statement given to People on June 17.
People, TMZ and other sites confirmed that Burrell was found unresponsive in her Brooklyn, NY, home on the morning of June 17 and could not be resuscitated. She was best known for starring on the show Worst Cooks in America.
Paramedics received a call that a woman needed assistance, according to TMZ.
According to People, Burrell was married to husband Stuart Claxton in 2021. He brought a son named Javier into the marriage and she had three kids, Isabella, Amelia, and Nicolas.
Her cause of death is not yet clear.
"Her smile lit up every room she entered," the family statement to People said. "Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal."
When the couple married, Windridge Estate, the location of their wedding, posted photos on its website.
"Anne Burrell and Stuart Claxton celebrated their star-studded wedding at Windridge Estate in Cazenovia, NY, on Oct. 16, 2021," the post reads. "The charming village of Cazenovia is not only Anne’s hometown but also where the couple was engaged!"
That website says that Burrell's husband worked in ad sales for Univision.
"The bride arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and joined guests for a tented ceremony on the beautiful grounds of Windridge Estate. The guests were treated to an energized ceremony that perfectly reflected the style of the fun-loving couple," the site says.
