Vermont State Police search for missing teen

POWNAL, Vt. (NEWS10)-- The Vermont State Police are looking for a reported missing teen in Bennington County. According to troopers, 17-year-old Rian Donahue has been missing since August 2 in Pownal.

According to troopers, the teen left a home in Pownal where he was staying around 11 a.m. on August 2 and was reported missing the day after. Troopers said his disappearance is not believed to be suspicious, but they are concerned for his welfare.

Troopers described Donahue as a 5 foot 11 inches tall male with black hair and brown eyes. He was initially believed to be staying with a friend in Bennington, but has ties to Rutland County as well.

According to officials, anyone that harbors or aids a runaway could be charged with a crime.
