2025 Titles Decided at the Peterborough Speedway APC Auto Parts Championship Clash
A full season of local racing comes down to one amazing night. Saturday, August 30th Peterborough Speedway waves the checkered flag on the 2025 line-up with the annual Championship Clash, presented by APC Auto Parts.
After scoring his first career main event win earlier this month, Alex Dallaire (No. 46) leads the way in the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock point standings. A handful of others are less than 45 points behind the division leader in a class that has seen nearly 40 different racers hit the track this season.
Even with a wreck sidelining his primary ride, Mike Nelson is the point leader in the SwitchTire Mini Stock ranks. Heading into the final night of the 2025 regular season, he enjoys a 25-point cushion over John Lavalle. Tyler McMurter, Dave Bragg and Rob Crick are next in the running order. Crick’s title hopes took a hit when the No. 84 machine barrel rolled during an invitational event at Sunset Speedway.
Good friends Mark Gordon and Howie Crowe have become championship rivals as result of their season long Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck success. Gordon takes a 10-point advantage into the APC Auto Parts Championship Clash, with Crowe’s No. 62 pick-up within striking distance of a 2nd consecutive title. Shawn Murray, Stacy Switzer and the No. 07 ride of Adam Chatten are next in line.
Paul Boundy occupies first place in the Jiffy Lube Super Stock standings. Chad Strawn and Mark Gordon are 7 and 9 points respectively behind the driver of the No. 08 machine. Dylan Wills – who had his first career main event win earlier in the year – is 4th, less than 10 points ahead of Clayton Reed.
Ryan Kimball leads the KOD Disposal Late Model standings but is less than 30 markers ahead of Kelly Balson heading into the season ending showdown. Steve Powell, Dan McHattie – the most recent feature event winner is next – with Jacob Mercer’s No. 81 machine holding onto 5th place.
Nearly 25 different racers have hit the track in the Nadeau’s Collision Junior Late Model division in 2025. 13 teams are less than 100 points out of the overall class lead. Hudson Sellers, Oliver Gibbons, Brody Coates, Kaiden Beatty, Lucas Finnegan, Owen Ephgrave, Lyla Sikma, Gracelynn MacInnes, Avery Kirkpatrick and Brayden Cappuccitti hold-down the top 10 positions in the standings.
All point standing calculations are unofficial.
