I completely agree with you. I don't like it. But I don't think it's limited to Blues, it's pretty commonplace across most of British football

I watched highlights of a Bundesliga game from recently, where the home side lost 6-4 but were down 6-0 at one point. And even then, the fans stayed en masse, and kept waving their flags and supporting the team. Wouldn't happen in a million years down the blues - stadium would be half empty by 4 or 5
