Police at Churaibari watch post seized a cough syrup consignment. A truck driver was arrested in Sribhumi district. The truck carried 21,600 bottles of codeine-based syrup. This is the second major seizure this month. Authorities are investigating the inter-state smuggling network. The route from West Bengal to Tripura remains a drug trafficking corridor.
