Follow-up Friday: Honoring heroes healing families
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- It’s Follow-Up Friday, and this week has been all about hope, healing, and heroes.
From Rockland County to Manhattan, New Yorkers are uniting to end domestic violence and give back to families in need.
In Rockland County, hundreds of survivors, families, and advocates walked across the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge for the Shine the Light Solidarity Walk, thanks to the Center for Safety and Change.
That same energy carried into the 18th Annual Simona and Jerome A. Chazen Business Luncheon sponsored by Goya Foods, where local leaders were honored for their tireless work on the frontlines.
In Manhattan, the celebration of compassion continued as the New York Foundling’s 10th Annual Fall Fête raised over one million dollars to support children and families across New York City.
