Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said on Monday that US President Donald Trump personally guaranteed a trade deal between the two countries, adding that it “will be faster than anyone thinks.” Lula also called the recent US tariff hike a “mistake,” pointing to a $410 billion trade surplus the US has had with Brazil over the past 15 years.
