Innocent teen bystanders shot near Brooklyn hospital: sources
BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (PIX11) --- Three innocent bystanders, including two teenagers, were shot outside a hospital following a fight at a Brooklyn high school, police sources said Monday.
The victims, a 33-year-old man, a 15-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old boy, were shot near Woodhull Hospital at Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Broadway in Bedford-Stuyvesant at around 3:30 p.m. Friday, according to the NYPD.
The man was struck in the thigh, the 15-year-old suffered a grazed wound to the right foot, and the 16-year-old was shot in the hip, cops said. They were treated at Woodhull Hospital for their injuries.
Sources said the victims were not the intended targets.
The shooter got into a fight with students at Williamsburg Charter High School, a few blocks from the hospital on Varet Street, before shots rang out, sources said. The teen victims were not involved in the school dispute.
The suspect is a male who was last seen wearing a hoodie, police said. There have been no arrests.
