Justin Bieber Has Clear Message For Shohei Ohtani at World Series
Justin Bieber may live in the Los Angeles area, but that does not mean he was rooting for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series on Monday night.
The pop sensation, who recently released two parts of his album SWAG, was in attendance for Game 3 of the World Series between the Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday night. However, he was not rooting for the hometown team.
When Bieber arrived at Dodger Stadium ahead of the contest, he was wearing a custom Blue Jays jersey – his hometown team – and was seen openly rooting against the Dodgers and superstar Shohei Ohtani in the stands.
Bieber is a Noted Toronto Sports Fan
Though he has lived in Los Angeles for years, Bieber is a prominent Toronto sports fan, as he has openly rooted for the Raptors, Maple Leafs, and the Blue Jays.
Bieber has even referenced his Toronto sports fandom in his music, writing the lyric "got that ring, just like Toronto" in his song "Intentions," making reference to the Raptors winning the NBA title back in 2019.
Bieber Sends Clear Message to Ohtani
Given his allegiance to Toronto and his current residence in Los Angeles, it wasn't exactly shocking that Bieber chose to attend Game 3 of the World Series on Monday night, and it wasn't shocking that he was rooting for the Blue Jays, either.
Bieber showed up to the game wearing a custom Blue Jays jersey with his own last name on the back, and he made a point to root for his team in the crowd, as well as against the Dodgers.
During the third inning, Bieber had a pretty clear message for Ohtani, the Dodgers' do-it-all superstar. After Ohtani extended the Dodgers' lead to 2-0 with a solo home run to right field, Bieber gave Ohtani a quick thumbs down.

The Blue Jays punched back the very next inning, however, giving Bieber something to celebrate about with four runs to take a 4-2 lead in what turned out to be a very back-and-forth game.
