VOTING is now open for the Buck’s Bar Southside player of the month, covering the four Queen’s Park fixtures in October.
Matty Shiels landed the past TWO awards after a strong start to the season, forcing Tyrece McDonnell and July winner Josh Fowler into second place on each occasion.
Can the left-sided defender turned winger secure a hat-trick?
Only you can decide based on performances against Dunfermline, Arbroath, Airdrie and Ayr United.
There have been no wins in that spell for the Spiders – but three games ended in draws as the squad showed a defensive consistency for much of the month.
The winner of the vote will landed their usual prize courtesy of the rock’n’roll chicken restaurant on Cathcart Road – just around the corner from The city Stadium.
In a new twist this season they’ll also sample on of the popular venue’s signature sauces – chosen for them by the previous month’s winner.
That back-fired on Matty when he set-up a spicy ‘Hot as Buck’ experience for September’s winner – then did the double and tried it himself. Needless to say, he still enjoyed it as much as his previous sweet and sour Peking BBQ dish selected for him by Josh Fowler.
