Paul Rudd & Nick Jonas Movie 'Power Ballad' Gets 2026 Release Date, New Details Revealed

There are new updates on Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas‘ upcoming movie Power Ballad!

The Marvel and Disney stars were announced to be starring in the musical comedy in May 2024, and now, a release date and more details have been unveiled.

According to Deadline, the film has been given a June 5, 2026 release date by Lionsgate.

Additional casting the movie’s synopsis have also been revealed.

In addition to Paul and Nick, who lead the cast, the movie also stars Peter McDonald, who co-wrote the feature with it’s director John Carney, Marcella Plunkett, Havana Rose Liu and Jack Reynor.

Here’s the synopsis: Rick (Rudd), a past-his-prime wedding singer, meets fading boy-band star Danny (Jonas) during a gig. The two bond over music and a late-night jam session. But when Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into the hit that reignites his career, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves – even if it means risking everything he cares about.

Per Deadline, the movie is described as a “feel-good story about music, self-respect, friendship, and the price of ambition.”

If you recall, after Nick‘s casting in Power Ballad was announced, he was in the midst of a tour with Jonas Brothers, and they postponed several dates to accommodate the filming schedule, which took place in Ireland.

He also shaved his head for the movie role!
