Re: Pub bombs
Rab C NesbittturleySorry if I sound like a dick here, but it’s not those who survived who are suffering, well maybe they are, but I reckon not as much as the families of those that died. They’re the ones pushing for an enquiry and I can’t say they’re wrong for doing so.I’m not sure what an enquiry would be expected to do. If you read Chris Mullin’s book, you’ll know the names of the bombers - and only one is still alive. I was in the Tavern the Saturday before the bomb and I know people who survived the bomb. All they want is for the whole episode to vanish from the front pages.
Good luck to the poor people
No Rab, you don’t sound like a dick. Believe me, those who survived are suffering. Many are suffering with the guilt that they survived, some have serious PTSD. I know of some who had to emigrate to get ‘away’ from the memories of simply walking down New Street. There is no right or wrong answer.
