Dick Van Dyke & Wife Arlene Silver’s Extravagant Halloween Bash Shows How Smitten They Really Are

We all already know Dick van Dyke and his wife, Arlene Silver are the biggest Halloween fans, but these new pics show their love for the holiday is bigger than the costumes and pumpkins!

In case you missed it, on Friday, Oct. 31, People obtained photos of the couple at their annual Halloween at Vandy Manor event, where Silver stars in and produces an extravagant Halloween show. And for this year, she channeled Ursula from The Little Mermaid, to lip sync to “Poor Unfortunate Souls.” And while Silver was dancing and singing her heart out, Dyke wore his heart on his sleeve in the wings.

In the photos, we see Dyke looking as proudly as can be at his longtime wife, and it’s truly the definition of heart-melting!

According to Insider, the Dick Van Dyke star was instantly attracted to Silver, after appointing her as his makeup artist. After six years together, they tied the knot in 2012, which he calls “one of the smartest moves he has ever made.”

He also said in an interview with HuffPost that he tries to keep his spirit as youthful as possible for her, saying, “I do a lot of leg work, all kinds of treadmills and weights and everything, because I like to keep the bounce when I dance. I can dance better than any 90-year-old you ever know.”

And back in 2024, he said to Forbes, van Dyke discussed how he’s thriving, and that his wife, Silver, is to be praised for keeping him thriving.

“Oh my god! I don’t think I’d even be here, to tell you that truth,” he said, when speaking about the idea of life without her. “She keeps me in shape, feeds me, and I love her more every day. We’re just getting closer and closer.”
