Always been some kind of link between Millwall and Scotland, a wild guess it has something to do with docks/shipping.

Founded in 1885 by Scottish dockworkers, hence the lion on the badge and the recent re-adoption of navy.

Recent? Have they not always been?

Apparently not. A more royal Blue from 1936-2010 except for 4 years in white.
I've always thought of their kits as a darker blue than ours. Though maybe not that much darker for a long time.
