It might just be the best place someone has been to? Maybe not travelled a lot, I don't know. But why be rude for no reason? Odd.

Have you actually been to Gibraltar ?

If so, then you will know that recommending it to others and saying it's one of the best places to visit is a complete insult in itself.

He hasn't recommended it to others, and he didn't say it's one of the best places to visit.

He simply said it's one of the best places he's been to.

Not the same thing.

Can't be - Wolverhampton is more interesting with more to see and do for a start and i know he's been there, London, Coventry, Rhyl, Cardiff etc etc

Currently "Gibralter" is probably marginally better than Blackpool in terms of quality and culture - i'll give him that. Plus the wine (the price of which is his only plus point mentioned) is probably cheaper in Blackpool
