Matt Light Reveals Hilarious Reason For Patriots’ 2025 Success
The New England Patriots are rolling, as they picked up win No. 10 on the season in Week 12 over the Cincinnati Bengals. Much of the success is due to first-year head coach Mike Vrabel, and one of his former teammates, Matt Light, believes he knows what has helped change the culture at 1 Patriot Place.
After taking over for Jerod Mayo as the Pats’ new head coach, Vrabel made it clear that one of his goals was to establish a winning culture in New England again. There’s still a lot of football left to play this season, but it seems like that goal has already been accomplished.
But what specifically has Vrabel done to accomplish that goal? According to Light, the game-changer has been the moustache that Vrabel is sporting as part of “Movember,” which is an event that takes place every November in an effort to raise awareness for men’s health.
“I’m gonna tell all the fans listening the secret behind the culture,” Light said on “The Greg Hill Show.” “It’s one thing, it’s that beautiful upper-lip plumage that coach Vrabel is sporting for the world to see every day.”
“Movember” has taken on an added importance for Vrabel and the Pats this season, as defensive coordinator Terrell Williams has spent the majority of the 2025 campaign away from the team after being diagnosed with prostate cancer back in September.
Vrabel has been proudly sporting a moustache throughout the month, and while Light poked fun at it, it’s clear he’s doing it for a great cause. The real question is whether or not Vrabel’s moustache will still be present when the Patriots square off against the New York Giants on “Monday Night Football” in Week 13.
