Devotees undertaking the Sabarimala pilgrimage can now carry their sacred ‘irumudi’ as cabin luggage on flights. This new regulation, in effect until 20 January, is intended to provide convenience while respecting religious traditions. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has confirmed that all security protocols will be strictly observed.
