Josh Brolin Discusses His Former Friendship With President Donald Trump: 'I Know a Different Guy'
Josh Brolin is recalling his former friendship with Donald Trump, before he became the President.
According to the 57-year-old actor, he knew “a different guy” at the time they met, which was during the filming of Oliver Stone‘s 2010 movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. Trump was supposed to be in the movie, but his scenes wound up on the cutting-room floor.

“I’m not scared of Trump, because even though he says he’s staying forever, it’s just not going to happen,” Josh told The Independent, referencing the President’s comments suggesting he’ll get a third term. “And if it does, then I’ll deal with that moment. But having been a friend of Trump before he was president, I know a different guy.”
The Marvel star said he understands why he appeals to so many voters, claiming it’s because The Apprentice alum is a marketing genius.
“There is no greater genius than him in marketing,” he said. “He takes the weakness of the general population and fills it.”
Josh went on to say, “That’s why I think a lot of people feel that they have a mascot in him. I think it’s much less about Trump than it is about the general population and their need for validation.”
