Thirty-seven Naxalites surrendered in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. Twenty-seven carried a reward of Rs 65 lakh. Twelve women were among the surrendered cadres. This surrender is part of the 'Poona Margem' initiative. The government offers rehabilitation and skill development. Over 508 Maoists have joined the mainstream in Dantewada in 20 months. More than 2,200 Naxalites have surrendered in Chhattisgarh in 23 months.
