Don’t Have a Ski Pass Yet? The Ikon and Epic Passes Go Off Sale Soon
Time is running out to grab an Ikon or Epic Pass, the two major multi-passes that collectively provide access to hundreds of ski resorts across North America and the globe.
The Ikon Pass ($1,519) is available until December 11. The Epic Pass ($1,185) deadline is coming up faster—it goes off sale on December 4.

Alterra, the company behind the Ikon Pass, also announced that the pass has added Megève Ski Area in the Mont Blanc Massif of the French Alps to its roster.
At the resort, Ikon Pass holders will have seven-day access with no blackout dates; Ikon Base Pass holders will have five-day access with no blackout dates. The Ikon Pass ticket program, the Session Pass, won’t work there.
Megève joins a slew of other resorts that have joined the Ikon Pass program ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Earlier this fall, a group of nine mountains in Asia, including Shiga Kogen, Japan, and Mona Yongpyong, South Korea, became part of the Ikon Pass. Going into this winter, skiers can now use the pass at 73 ski resorts.
“With the incredible addition of Megève Ski Area in France, we now offer Ikon Pass holders nine destinations throughout Europe to add to their Bucket List,” said Matt Bowers, Alterra’s senior vice president of marketing, in a press release.
The sellers of the Epic Pass, Vail Resorts, have also upped the ante. This year, they announced that a group of Austrian ski resorts, like Saalbach and Zell am See-Kaprun, were now part of the multi-pass.
Vail Resorts also recently debuted a new discount ticket program. Through it, Epic Pass holders get a few 50% off lift tickets they can share with friends and family. Those tickets work at all of Vail Resorts’ 37 owned and operated resorts in North America.
The Indy Pass, which covers independent ski areas and has emerged as a soulful alternative to the Epic and Ikon Passes, is already sold out.
