Margot Robbie & Leonardo DiCaprio’s Wild R-Rated Hit Finally Returns to Netflix

0

Netflix subscribers, along with other streaming services, find themselves (rightfully) constantly complaining about great movies leaving the service. However, every once in a while, a massive hit finds its way home. After a nearly two-year absence, Netflix has officially brought back one of the most chaotic, high-energy films of the 21st century. Featuring a performance from Leonardo DiCaprio that earned rave reviews and a breakout role for Margot Robbie, the R-rated hit directed by Martin Scorsese is set to dominate the Top 10 charts once again with its return. Not surprisingly, fans couldn't be more excited to relive the wild ride

In the words of DiCaprio as Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street: "The show goes on." After the departure of the hit 2013 movie from Netflix on Dec. 31, 2023, it bounced around on various streaming platforms. Most recently, DiCaprio's starring role in the film based on the memoir by Belfort could be found on FuboTV, before it left the service on Nov. 29. Fortunately, this paved the way for the return of The Wolf of Wall Street to Netflix. The movie officially returned to the platform on Dec. 1, 2025, as What's on Netflix highlighted.

Not only was this among the many memorable performances from DiCaprio, but it also marked a breakout performance for Robbie. The popular actress has gone on to star in movies like Barbie, Suicide Squad and in Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood alongside DiCaprio, among others.

Robbie, who stars as Naomi Lapaglia, the eventual wife of DiCaprio in the film, had some of the most memorable moments in The Wolf of Wall Street, while knocking the role out of the park. She instantly became a fan-favorite following the movie's release.

Why Scorsese's 3-Hour Epic Is Still a Streaming Juggernaut

While it's not uncommon for a movie that's 10-plus years old to find consistent streaming success, The Wolf of Wall Street has been a popular choice among viewers. According to the JustWatch Daily Streaming Charts, the movie sits in the No. 24 spot for viewership as of Dec. 2, 2025. This highlights a 22-spot jump in one day since rejoining Netflix. The DiCaprio and Robbie-led film has reached as high as No. 2 on the list over its streaming tenure.

The popular comedy boasted a stellar cast even beyond DiCaprio and Robbie, as seen below.

  • Leonardo DiCaprio as Jordan Belfort
  • Margot Robbie as Naomi Lapaglia
  • Jonah Hill as Donnie Azoff
  • Matthew McConaughey as Mark Hanna
  • Cristin Milioti as Teresa Petrillo
  • Jon Favreau as Manny Riskin
  • Jon Bernthal as Brad Bodnick
  • Rob Reiner as Max Belfort
  • Kyle Chandler as Patrick Denham

The lengthy list of known names goes beyond that, but it highlights the significant star power that The Wolf of Wall Street featured.

According to Box Office Mojo, The Wolf of Wall Street was made on a $100 million budget and pulled in just over $407 million worldwide. This includes $116.9 million domestically and $289.9 million internationally.

Along with a solid box-office return, Scorsese's film earned high marks from critics and fans, including a "certified fresh" label on Rotten Tomatoes. The Wolf of Wall Street received a 79 percent rating based on 283 critics' reviews and an 83 percent score compiled from more than 100,000-plus fan ratings.
