Miley Cyrus Confirms Engagement to Maxx Morando
Something beautiful is happening. Miley Cyrus confirmed her engagement to Maxx Morando, her partner of four years. She showed off a diamond ring designed by Jacquie Aiche on her left hand as she posed for photos with her fiancé at the December 2 premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash. (Cyrus has a new song for the film, “Dream As One,” written with Andrew Wyatt and Mark Ronson.) The Something Beautiful singer says she was “astounded” by the privacy she was able to maintain so far. “I think it’s also being older, being more protective of what I’m open to sharing,” she told People on December 2.
Morando’s father, Dan, also reportedly posted a photo of the couple and a close-up of the ring on Instagram to congratulate them. Cyrus has been wearing the ring for at least a week, as she posted a photo of herself with it at her birthday party on November 23.
Cyrus met 27-year-old Morando on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. “Well, it was blind for me and not really for him,” she told British Vogue in 2023. “I thought, ‘The worst that can happen is I leave.’” She stayed, and the musicians have been together since the summer of 2021. They were first seen publicly in April 2022, photographed making out in West Hollywood. “I ended up with a person who means a lot to me and treats me really well and respects me,” she told The Cut earlier this year. “I had to learn that the hard way because my mommy taught me the wrong way and then I had to learn the right way by myself.”
