Supercomputer makes surprising prediction for Brentford vs Tottenham result in the Premier League
Tottenham Hotspur fans may be surprised by what Opta’s Supercomputer has predicted ahead of the Lilywhites’ trip to Brentford.
Thomas Frank returns to his former stomping ground for the first time on Thursday since his summer switch across London.
Some of the pressure has been lifted off the Dane following Tottenham’s win at Selhurst Park, and Frank admitted that he was very pleased with the discipline and resilience his side showed against Crystal Palace.
However, his side are unlikely to win two back-to-back away London derbies according to a data analysis platform
Brentford deemed big favourites to beat Tottenham
Spurs overcame Brentford 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium just over three weeks ago.
In fact, it can be argued that the performance against the Bees was the Lilywhites’ most complete of the season so far.
However, Opta’s Supercomputer believes that the West London side are the favourites to win on Thursday, giving them a 46 per cent chance of getting all three points.
A Spurs win and draw have been given almost an even probability at 27.3 per cent and 26.7 per cent, respectively.
Five Spurs players are dangerously close to a suspension
Following Tottenham’s win at Selhurst Park, Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso, Richarlison, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pedro Porro are all on five bookings each.
That means that if any of them pick up a yellow card at the Gtech Community Stadium, they will be suspended for Spurs’ clash against Sunderland on Sunday.
However, they will all be safe if they get through Thursday’s game unscathed, as following the 19th game, the next yellow card suspension mark is at the 32nd game.
Any player who has 10 yellows within the first 32 league matches will have to serve a two-match suspension.
