Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel’s Marriage Is Reportedly ‘Hanging by a Thread’ After Years of Strain

It hasn’t been an easy marital road for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel over the last few years, and now, insiders are revealing that the couple is struggling.

The issues apparently came to a head after Timberlake’s June 2024 driving while intoxicated (DWI) arrest in Sag Harbor, New York. He was in the middle of his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour while Biel was busy working on the Prime Video series, The Better Sister. According to friends of the couple, they are leading “separate lives” now and “hanging by a thread.”

“Everyone around them can see the marriage isn’t working, and it’s reached the point where friends are saying this limbo just isn’t healthy anymore,” an insider told Star magazine. “They’ve basically been living separate lives. Jessica is so focused on her work, her friends, her kids. It seems like Justin is an afterthought most of the time.”

The 43-year-old actress endured a lot while she was home raising their sons, Silas, 10, and Phineas, 4. In 2019, Timberlake was spotted holding hands with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright while enjoying a boozy night on the town in New Orleans. Not only was it a bad look for the married singer, but Biel was home pregnant with their second child at the time.

Throughout all of the trials and tribulations, Biel has remained faithfully by his side. “They’ve been married for a long time,” a source told People in October 2024. “They have to work on their marriage like most couples. Being working parents is never easy.”

But The Sinner star’s friends aren’t as forgiving, and they want her to make a decision about her relationship. “Behind the scenes, Jessica’s friends have talked to her about his behavior — they hate that so much of her life is about keeping Justin on track when he’s drinking and partying with friends,” an In Touch Weekly insider said in October 2024.

Even though Biel and Timberlake have reportedly tried to work through their issues, they can’t seem to find their way back to each other.

“The trust still hasn’t come back, and all the therapy in the world hasn’t magically fixed that,” the Star magazine insider summed up. “They do seem to be stuck, and Jessica’s friends are saying she needs to either walk away or fully commit because dragging this out isn’t good for anyone involved.”
