Xbox Fan Finally Completes Massive Game Collection After 20 Years
Collecting physical media is a popular hobby for fans of movies, music records, collections, steelbooks, and, of course, video games. Now, after 20 years, an Xbox 360 fan has reached an incredible milestone with their collection--virtually every single game released in North America for the Xbox 360 has been obtained.
User uncleseeth on Reddit has created a thread titled, "Completed the North American Xbox 360 collection 20 years to the day I started." The user stated they began to collect Xbox 360 games on December 25, 2005, and received the final game for the collection from their son, which was Pro Evolution Soccer 18. uncleseeth stated he felt it was "bittersweet" to have completed the collection.
uncleseeth is taking time to reply to fans on Reddit. The collection now stands at a staggering 1353 games, according to uncleseeth. One other user asked the user how many of those games they have played, and they responded with "About 800, completed roughly 175." The user also stated they intend to play every game in the collection eventually.
When asked what his favorite video game series in the collection, uncleseeth replied with, "I love the Gears franchise. So I’d say those. Big Project Gotham Racing fan back in the day as well."
The Reddit thread is full of fans in awe, and offering congratulations for completing a monumental feat. One user, AJGILL03, replied to the thread, writing, "Inspiring stuff, friend. True dedication to completion and play!"
uncleseeth stated the Xbox 360 is their favorite console of all time and also one of the cheaper video game consoles to collect for. The user also noted the hardest games to find were the Pro Evolution Soccer games, one of which happened to be the last game needed for the collection.
The Xbox 360 was released in November 2005 and is often viewed by video game fans and critics as one of the greatest consoles ever released.
