A Chennai consumer court has ordered The Leela Palace, Udaipur, to pay Rs 10 lakh compensation to a couple. The hotel's housekeeping staff entered their room using a master key while they were in the washroom, violating their privacy. The commission found this a deficiency in service, rejecting the hotel's defence of standard operating procedures.
