Blake Shelton Breaks His Silence on Gwen Stefani Divorce Rumors

Country music superstar Blake Shelton has been married to pop sensation Gwen Stefani since they tied the knot back in July of 2021. Despite some salacious rumors about their relationship status, it sounds like their marriage is still going strong.

During a recent interview, Shelton opened up about some speculation that the two of them had divorced or separated, as he offered some clarification and admitted that even he has been fooled by some AI photos he has seen on social media.

Shelton Addresses Divorce Rumors

During a recent appearance on the "Country Countdown USA" radio program, host Lon Helton pointed out that it was difficult to use Google to find out anything true about the country music star, given his enormous popularity.

Shelton replied, breaking his silence on some divorce rumors that have been spreading the past several months.

"I’m telling you, Lon, it’s amazing," Shelton said during the interview, via Fox News. "Starting in October, I think, or maybe November … I started noticing these articles popping up about, ‘Blake and Gwen — they’re split up. They’re not even seeing each other anymore, they’re going through a divorce.’"

"And then, a week later, a picture comes out of us walking out of the grocery store … ‘Oh, they’re back together again!’"

"And another week goes by, and we’re not seen at the grocery store … ‘They’re divorcing.’ I told her, ‘Man, I don’t know what is going on out there,’" Shelton continued.

Shelton Fooled by AI

Shelton doesn't necessarily blame anyone for being fooled by some of the things they see on social media, as he admits that he has even been fooled by some AI-generated images himself.

"I see pictures of Gwen and I on social media that I really go, ‘That looks so real.’ But I know I don’t even own that shirt or, ‘whose car is that?’" Shelton said.

Obviously, if Shelton even has trouble recognizing real photos of himself and his longtime wife, it would be easy for others to be confused.

Needless to say, this is another example of why it's important for everyone to be careful not to believe everything they see online.
