Karoline Leavitt Caught on Tape Warning CBS 'We'll Sue Your A-- Off' If They Didn't Air Trump Interview in Full
Karoline Leavitt has been caught on tape.
The 28-year-old White House press secretary warned CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupil that his 13-minute conversation with President Donald Trump had to air in full, or “we’ll sue your a– off,” per the President.
In audio obtained by the New York Times, she’s overheard saying: “He said, ‘Make sure you guys don’t cut the tape, make sure the interview is out in full.”

Tony responded: “Yeah, we’re doing it, yeah.”
“He said, ‘If it’s not out in full, we’ll sue your a– off,’” Karoline warned.
Tony said with a laugh: “He always says that!” while executive producer Kim Harvey can be heard going “Oh great, okay!”
“The moment we booked this interview we made the independent decision to air it unedited and in its entirety,” a CBS News spokesperson said to the outlet following the audio’s publication.
“The American people deserve to watch President Trump’s full interviews, unedited, no cuts. And guess what? The interview ran in full,” Karoline said in a statement.
If you’ll recall, Trump sued CBS News previously, and they settled.
“Tony, we now have the hottest country in the world. And a year-and-a-half ago, our country was dead. We had a dead country. You wouldn’t have a job right now. If [Kamala Harris] got in, you probably wouldn’t have a job right now,” Trump said in the interview.
“Your boss, who’s an amazing guy, might be bust, OK? Let me just tell you — you wouldn’t have this job. You wouldn’t have this job — certainly whatever the hell they’re paying you. Our country is rocketing right now. We have the hottest country in the world. If they got in, we’d be Venezuela on steroids.”
Donald Trump got something he’s wanted for a long time when he met with Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado — a Nobel Peace Prize. But does that make him the new winner?
