Tokyo stocks end lower as U.S. tariff concerns grow
TOKYO, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks ended lower on Monday, as investors adopted a wait-and-see stance following punitive tariff threats from the U.S. government over Greenland.
The benchmark Nikkei stock index, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average, ended down 352.60 points, or 0.65 percent, from Friday at 53,583.57.
The broader Topix index, meanwhile, finished 2.28 points, or 0.06 percent, lower at 3,65
