Does annoy me when people assume we paid £10m for Kyogo

Yup, this really annoys me. Especially when the base fee is less than half of that. Clubs should disclose fees again in order to stop journalists exclaiming these landmark huge fees that include various, unlikely add-ons.

Is it less than half? I thought it was around £6m or so. Have we ever had it confirmed?

If you’re thinking in terms of FFP. It doesn’t matter if it was all up front or payable over 10 years it’s still a full £4m hit this year (if that was the agreed sum pre addons)

Transfer fees are amortized over the contract length. This applies for PSR. The maximum length is 5 years
