Kansas’ Bill Self taken to the hospital after leaving practice with an ‘illness’
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
Kansas’ Bill Self was taken to the hospital after leaving practice with an illness, the team announced on Monday.
“Kansas men’s basketball coach Bill Self felt under the weather earlier today and, out of an abundance of caution, was taken to LMH Health where he received IV fluids,” the team said in a statement. “He is feeling better but did not accompany the team to Boulder.”
While the details of his illness are unknown Self’s health related struggles in the past have led the program to be extra careful with Self to assure he is not put under any unnecessary risk.
The Jayhawks will be without their head coach in Tuesday’s matchup against Colorado.
