Unprepared Trump looked 'angry' during speech as world pans his grievances: CNN reporter
President Donald Trump appeared unprepared and angry when he spoke at the White House podium during Tuesday's press briefing, according to one CNN reporter.
Trump spoke for about 80 minutes at the briefing before taking questions from the press. His speech meandered through topics ranging from foreign policy to the economy and past election results. One issue that seemed to stick out in his mind was the Nobel Peace Prize, which CNN reporter Kristen Holmes argued was a sign that the president is still miffed about not being awarded the honor.
"It was very clear that he felt snubbed," Holmes said on CNN's "The Arena" on Tuesday. 'He went through a long list of reasons why he should have received the Nobel Peace Prize, and why he seemingly was angry at the Norwegian government for the reason that he didn't get it."
Holmes added she was confident Trump "didn't come out there with any prepared remarks."
"He was holding up the same packet he had given all of us," she added.
Trump has repeatedly said he deserves to be awarded the Nobel Prize for "settling eight wars" during his second administration, a claim some experts find misleading at best.
Among the conflicts Trump claims to have settled are the war between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which continues to this day. He also claimed to have settled an international dispute between Egypt and Ethiopia, which never fully escalated into war.
