Delhi government has approved a welfare initiative to provide a free LPG cooking gas cylinder to economically weaker households on Holi and Diwali. The decision, with a Rs 300 crore allocation, fulfills a BJP electoral promise. Beneficiaries will receive funds via Direct Benefit Transfer to their Aadhaar-linked accounts.
