In a disappointing turn of events, Guwahati's costly bio-toilets, which were brought in with much fanfare between 2018 and 2019, have fallen into disrepair for years. With each unit costing over Rs 30 lakh, they were designed to enhance public sanitation but are now mere relics of neglect.
