Young Seagulls win at Nomads to go top

BEN HOBAN got the match-winner as Colwyn Bay U21s won 2-1 away to Connah’s Quay Nomads U18s to make it two wins out of three in the FAW National Reserve League North’s Premier Conference.

Max McGoona put the Bay in front after just five minutes, but Alfie Bennett equalised for the home side just before the half hour mark and it needed Ben Hoban’s goal sis minutes later to bring home the three points.

No goals in the second half and Colwyn Bay go top of the table -albeit having played a game more than their closest rivals.
