A 16-year-old student, Om Prakash Dwivedi, was electrocuted Jagatsinghpur district while lowering the national flag on Republic Day. The flagpole reportedly touched a live 11 kV wire on the coaching centre's roof. The boy, residing locally for his studies, succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.
