Sharad Pawar stated he learned of Sunetra Pawar's potential swearing-in as deputy chief minister through media reports. He indicated that other Nationalist Congress Party leaders might have made this decision. Pawar also mentioned his late nephew Ajit Pawar's wish to unite both factions of the party.
