Nintendo Acquired Three Major Bethesda Titles
Speaking on the Nintendo Direct livestream, Bethesda's chief director Todd Howard said: "If you're like us, Nintendo has meant so much to you from your early days of gaming to now. It was incredible for us to partner on the original Switch [and] we're excited to finally bring a number of our franchises for the first time to Nintendo."
The first title announced was Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. Released just a couple of months ago, this remastered version of Bethesda's acclaimed sequel is coming to the Switch 2 on February 24, 2026. Pre-orders are already available on Nintendo eShop. It will be the first Fallout game get a Nintendo release.
Next up was Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Inspired by Steven Spielberg's beloved adventure franchise, this installment follows Indy as he travels through Egypt, Thailand, and beyond in search of a dangerous treasure. The story takes place between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom.
The game received strong reviews upon its release back in 2024, with 90% on both Steam and IGN. It was originally released on Xbox Series X/S and PC, later came to PlayStation 5, and will now arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 on May 12, 2026.
Finally, a remastered version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. The remaster was originally released in 2025 for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles, and joins The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in Nintendo's catalogue of Bethesda games.
The next Nintendo Direct showcase is expected later this year.
