2025 'Predator' Sequel Is Finally Making Its Streaming Debut

Predator: Badlands will officially be available to stream with a Hulu subscription from February 12, 2026.

The sci-fi sequel was released in theaters across the world on November 7, 2025, and made its VOD debut in early January. The film will soon be available to watch at no extra cost for those already paying for Hulu.

Predator: Badlands Is A Bold, Refreshing Sci-Fi Sequel

Predator: Badlands has been a massive success for Disney, continuing the successful revamp of the franchise under filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg. The director took creative control of the IP back in 2022 with Prey, and has continued to expand the world with sequels like Killer of Killers and Badlands.

The latter grossed over $180 million at the worldwide box office and was met with generally positive reviews from critics, with many praising the grounded storytelling and character-driven plot. Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi also received widespread praise for their performances.

According to the film's official synopsis, Predator: Badlands "is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.”

The film marks the ninth installment in the Predator franchise, including two crossover movies with Alien. It also continues the saga's trend of switching up the formula with every new project; where Prey was told from the perspective of the hunted rather than the hunter, and Killer of Killers was an animated ensemble, Badlands almost plays like a buddy comedy at times and relies heavily on the character dynamics between Dek and Thia.

"The idea was to see what would happen if we put [a Predator] through the same challenge that Dutch went through in the original," director Dan Trachtenberg remarked shortly after the film's release last november. "We really wanted to invert the premise and see what he would be capable of if he was stripped away from all of his advantages." (via Syfy)
