At Berlinale, Rima Das redefines heroism through vulnerability in not a hero
“Not a Hero” follows a young boy traveling from city to village, exploring the quiet, everyday courage found in vulnerability, honesty, and pause. Through Rima Das’s signature realism and child-centric storytelling, the film questions traditional ideas of heroism while reflecting on patriarchy, empathy, and the inner worlds of young people.
