CRABI — NYC Missions with Victor Campillo & The Crew

0

Even though New York is buried in snow at the moment, spring is right around the corner and we're already penciling in dates on our calendar to hit the Big Apple as soon as it's warm. Rumors are swirling of a big video premiere out there next month—so stay tuned for news of that...

In the meantime, whet your appetite with this not-so-little ditty from our boys across the pond. Easy to dive in when our mates at the Quartersnacks Sports Desk sum it up so eloquently:

"One of our favorite European skate crews …no, wait actually, two of our favorite European skate crews (!) — an amalgamation of Victor Campillo and his Marseille-based manual lords and the Swiss-based OG.2000 collective — came to New York last year. For many of them, it was their first time in the city: ten skaters, one crib with one bathroom, and a month to stack. Classic conundrum.

We get a lot of “Trip To New York!” edits floated past the submission desk, and it is always fun to watch how a crew did their New York trip. Live anywhere long enough and you’ll grow bored with spots that people would trade appendages for, so there’s always an, “Ok, what got you hyped? That way I can maybe muster up some hype in the people I skate with”-angle to the viewing experience. And knowing these dudes’ videos, you had to figure Chinatown Double or D7 wasn’t the top of their hit list, but it’s pretty awesome how low-impact they kept it."
